The building is an old wooden house in East Pakila, which contains two apartments. According to available information, the house was built in 1867, making it the oldest of all the houses owned by Oranssi Asunnot. It is located on a large wooded plot and is protected by the sr-2 designation in the zoning plan. The house is of log construction and has a tin roof.

The house has been managed by Oranssi Asunnot since 2008. It is owned by the City of Helsinki and Oranssi Asunnot has an open-ended lease agreement. Oranssi Asunnot rents the apartments in the building to its residents. The house is heated by direct electric heating, although the fireplace in one of the apartments has recently been renovated for use.
